I've got tickets for this three-day event at the Rose bowl Centre at Leeds University in September.
Many guest speakers including Steve Bassett and Richard Dolan - I am so looking forward to this!

Is there an official name for the event ?

I'm just wondering who else might be there.

Yes, this will be a first time actually attending one as I've seen so much of this on
YouTube. The venue looks prestigeous too. It'll be a good place to meet with and talk
one to one with like-minded folk too.

I'd like to go too but unfortunately I'm on the other side of the pond.

I've never been to an event of that nature, so I can relate to your enthusiasm.

Oh well maybe someday they'll have one near me and I'll get to go check it out.

Also wanted to say that perspective is a good approach and is probably the only way any real progress can ever be made.

I'm a believer and a skeptic but I've found continually arguing on the internet with debunkers, chronic denialists and government spooks is a waste of time.

There must be many such events year round in the US, just google Exopolitics USA or UFO Disclosure groups/events. There's a BIG event in August

I agree, the denialists I pity, but I loathe the trolls and debunkers with a passion, so I totally ignore their comments on various message boards and YouTube
now because if I retaliate, I'll probably become as abusive as them and in turn sink to their level, which is what they want and the last thing I want.

There are indeed some of these UFO type of conferences here in the U.S. but they're usually too far away for me. I'm in the southeast part of America and from what I've seen most of the bigger type of events are either out west near Vegas (like the one you linked to) or up north near Washington D.C. area etc. ... so for me to go, it involves taking time-off from work, traveling and spending a considerable amount of money.

The only events I've heard about near my location are Mufon type of meetings which don't seem to be as extravagant or the same calibur as the others. I will of course keep my eyes open for any events near me that are worth the effort but in the meantime I'll continue to watch the videos and wait to see what you report back with.

This may not be exactly like the event your going to but I found the "Citizens Hearing on Disclosure" very interesting and some of the discussions were compelling.
